While we were in Oslo yesterday, I paid a fortune (when doesn't one do that in Oslo?) for H.C. Andersens Beste Eventyr/Hans Christian Andersen's Best Fairy tales!
12 stories all in Norwegian (a little motivation to keep up my Norsk skills).
Included: (we'll see if you can guess them all!)
Prinsessen på erten
Tommelise
Den standhaftige tinnsoldat
Den stygge andungen
Svinedrengen
Den lille piken med fyrstikkene
Keiserens nye klaer
Fyrtøyet
Snømannen
Grantreet
Kloss-Hans
De ville Svaner
We also went into the National Gallery, which is free to the public. (At least all permanent exhibits are, not special exhibits.) It was really neat..and of course, we saw "Skrik" by Edvard Munch (The Scream). (Interesting Note about Skrik: apparently it has been stolen 3 times; last time by an environmentalist group who wasn't going to give it back until the state made some change they wanted. They finally gave it back, and now it has a glass cover over it.)
The gallery was really neat, they had a whole room full of Munch's artwork, plus a lot of other really beautiful paintings by other Scandinavian artists.

So how did you do on the fairy tale titles??:
The princess and the pea
Thumbelina
The brave tin soldier
The Ugly duckling
The Swineherd
The Little match-seller
The Emperor's new clothes
(not sure about this one: Fyrtøyet)
The Snowman
The little fir tree
Kloss-Hans
The wild swans
